SCOPE OF WORK
IRC provided an innovative repair solution for damaged glulam arches spanning 100 feet over a swimming pool. Heavy galvanized steel shoes were used to replace the deteriorated wood bearing ends and provided a contemporary feel to this 50 year old structure. The structural work also included customized shoring towers and tensioned cable stays to support the large roof area while arch supports were cut off and the steel shoes were installed. The work was carried out in a phased manner on alternate arches and alternating sides of the pool enclosure. This was a unique solution to a unique problem and was completed in a successful and cost appropriate manner.
