Summary

The Project Coordinator position will report directly to our Saskatchewan District Manager and primarily be responsible for assisting with Project Management related duties. The role will require both field and office work. This position is based out of our Regina, Saskatchewan office location but will have responsibilities in both Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Field Responsibilities:
    • Perform field review for condition reports
    • Complete/assist in the execution of technical audits and preparation of reports
    • Conduct field testing in order to determine cause and effect and prepare report
    • Responsible for the retrieval of information and preparation of roofing analysis reports
    • Site work such as measuring, drawing, core-cuts, identifying deficiencies, etc. as required
  • Office Responsibilities:
    • Compiling of data and photos into report form
    • Preparing of schedule and required drawings
    • Identifying budgeting requirements
    • Establishing recommendations and budgetary costing
    • Photocopying and assembling reports
  • Specifications: 
    • Complete/assist with the compilation of both field and report data in order to prepare specification documents
  • Contract Administration and Site Reviews:
    • Under the direction of senior personnel, perform regular site reviews of ongoing projects to ensure compliance with tender documents and applicable codes and standards
    • Maintaining communications between contractor and client to resolve project issues
    • Preparation of CCOs/COs and payment certificates, when required
  • Other:
    • Maintaining and improving professional and computer skills
    • Keep abreast of current trends in the industry to ensure professional development

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Building Science Engineering is preferred by not required
  • Must have experience in roofing and/or building envelope
  • Experience with AutoCAD and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written, oral and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Self-motivating and ability to multi-task while maintaining a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to act with business integrity
