CAD Technologist & Spec Writer (Intermediate / Senior)

• CAD Technologist and Spec Writer

IRC Building Sciences Group Inc. has immediate openings within our CAD Department at our Head Office Mississauga location for experienced Technologists with no less than five years of relevant Architectural Drafting experience. Some Specification writing experience would be an asset.

The successful applicant will assist in the creation and production of construction documents including site plans, detailed roof plans, elevations, cross-sections, section details, technical specifications, and tender documents.

IRC has a team of Engineers, Registered Roof Consultants, Technologists, and Building Specialists located in Mississauga, Ottawa, London, Vancouver and Calgary. Our expertise is focused on the investigation, evaluation, design, specification, tendering and inspection of Building Envelope projects including all types of roofing systems, masonry wall systems and wall cladding systems, fenestration (doors and windows) and curtain wall systems, air barriers, waterproofing, structural design, structural rehabilitation and project management.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum three year Technology Diploma / Degree
• Minimum five years of full-time drafting employment with AutoCAD, 2D environment
• Experience with Spec Writing (any division) and knowledge of Contract Documents
• Experience with construction detailing and general construction knowledge
• Exceptional comprehension of the English language with the ability to read and write using correct grammar, punctuation and spelling
• Exceptional PC computer skills, Windows environment, MS Office

Roofing Inspector Needed

IRC Building Sciences Group Inc. is accepting resumes at our Calgary office for the following:

• Roofing Inspector.

Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years industry related experience. ARCA accepted inspectors or apprentices are preferred, but it is not a mandatory designation. Immediate part time / full time or contract positions available. Candidate must be able to provide own suitable transportation and be prepared to travel the province.
